Next Wave of Innovation

From all that I have been reading, it appears to me that next wave of innovation is likely to come from Renewable Energy & Climate Change industry to provide near permanent energy security for future generations.

And we have more reasons to believe that such innovations would come from developing nations like BRIC and others; and not always from Developed nations.

Would not be surprised if developed nations partner with BRIC countries to create a partnership model to tap the talent available in these countries. Its going to be altogether different type of business model where capital and initial IP of developed nations would combine with passion & talent pool of developing nations on the lines of IT revolution we are witnessing right now; to create newer sources of energy.

Improvement and Innovation: Its Different

Its quite tempting to term each improvement as innovation. Some of the organization we have seen have even defined improvements as a stepping stone/ foundation for higher levels of innovations. Improvements can take us only that far and not any further.

To suceed, one must focus on 'Innovation'. The recent article (http://innovationtools.com/Articles/EnterpriseDetails.asp?a=571) at Innovationtools.com makes interesting point about it.

Do you agree?
